Interview with Aishwarya Jain | IM Happiness

I hope this can inspire you to becomea successful social entrepreneur too!Why is it important to hear the story of a successful social entrepreneur?

Having the vision to become a social entrepreneur is great. Making it happen is another story!

The story of real people, like you and me, who decided to take their life into their hands and make their dreams come true, for the greater good! The story of real successful social entrepreneur, who built their success from scratch : thanks to their passion, their authenticity, and their vision!

In that frame, I had the pleasure to interview Aishwarya Jain, one of the founder of IM Happiness – a wonderful initiative offering various free services to increase happiness index of India.

1)Thank you for accepting to share your story! As an introduction, can you please tell us about yourself, your background, and what brought you to co-create IM Happiness?
I’m an entrepreneur, creator and dreamer . The thought of making millions people happy through IM Happiness, before I leave this world gives me this beautiful feeling.

Success is great, but not at the cost of your happiness. Not always will success fetch you happiness, but if you are happy, then you will have better chances of being successful.

Why? So it isn’t some random gyaan. It’s scientifically proven.

Happier people perform better, they have better relationships, they have lesser diseases and list goes on.

Everything that you strive for in your life is for one goal, happiness. Happiness is the goal of all other goals.

We look for a good job, a date, we buy cars, or anything we do in life. What is the feeling we look for? Happiness isn’t it?

In the end all we need is Happiness!!

2)Can you tell us the story of IM Happiness ? How did the idea came, and what it took to make it a reality?
I have had my shares of failures and difficult times. And it wasn’t just me, people around me of different age groups had their shares of pain, some got into substance abuse, some used to depressed. Looking around I felt this is something I want to work on.

I started researching I found out 1 in 5 people are UNHAPPY and then I Curated IM Happiness.

Isn’t it cool to make people happy? It’s Uber cool feeling to me.

3)So far, what has been the impact of IM Happiness?
So we have impacted 10,000+ poeples across schools, colleges and offline awareness campaigns.

We track the attendees happiness Index through our Happiness tracker every six months. This makes us sure our sessions are Improving their lives And impacting happiness Index.

4)What is your ambition for IM Happiness in the coming 3 years?
When people think about happiness , they should think about IM Happiness.

Like I mentioned we track the happiness quotient of attendees. I remember one story of a guy, he was roughly around 30. He have had a bad relationship, and was stuck in substance abuse.

He attended all our sessions. One evening I got a call from his mother she was crying and she said ” Beta I’m a drug psychologist and couldn’t stop my son from drugs and alcohol but you have made it happen.” That just makes me feel wow even today.

He’s doing so well now and He has gotten his life to a stage where he was recently awarded Business Man of the Year Award.

6)According to you, and from what you see with IM Happiness what are the 3 main success factors to become a successful social entrepreneur and make a positive change?
– My team

– My attendees who are ambassadors of Happiness

– Madness to achieve something big and good

7)Do you have a final message, for a potential successful social entrepreneur who still wonder if creating a social business is a viable career track?
Load Matt lo. Do whatever makes you happy. Start doing what you were created for, and be happy before being successful.

As quoted by Albert Schweitzer, “Success is not the key to happiness. Happiness is the key to success. If you love what you are doing, you will be successful.”
