About Portraiture By Pari

“Only do what your heart tells You”- Princess Diana

Yes, I listened to my heart and today I am an Image Consultant, a Stylist and a Communications Trainer. The journey from being a Chartered Accountant and handling family business, to jumping into this crazy world has been really mesmerizing.

I live by my passion each day. Always on my toes, I can dance even without music, and that is the amount of energy and enthusiasm I want to live with forever. I am always eager to learn more, to learn something new, and nothing could have been better than styling and training.

I have always found Styling, adding that extra bit, my go-to weapon. The feel of looking good, and dressing up to my best, have always brought that momentum in my work. And, I am known for this.

For me, Style is YOU, the internal you which is echoed outside. Style should be unique to you. At Portraiture, we strive to help my clients, find their unique style and flaunt it.

1. What gets you out of bed in the morning i.e what’s your source of motivation?
The enthusiasm to do something different and to enhance one more person’s life is what keeps me going.

2. Why should people choose your product/services?
It is said, people don’t remember what you said, but remember how you made them
feel. And this you can do by looking good and feeling good. Feeling good is when you have a self-confidence and know who you are and what you speak about.

3. What’s your competitive advantage and why can’t it be copied?
It is my passion to add value to each person’s life that I touch. My services are very customised and personal. My techniques and ideas evolve as per the person’s level and requirements.

4. What risks are you facing?
When someone hears Image consultancy, they have a kind of puzzled look on their face. It’s a new and unique concept. SoI really have to explain the importance and applicability each time. This is a risk or a bump that I am facing right now.

5. Have you considered any alliance/partnership?
Mine is a very personalised and skill-based service. Even if I collaborate, my work style and my ideas have to match with the person. So, I am open to partnering but have not done os till yet.

6. What are your cash flow projections? When will you break even? How much will you need in investments?
Thankfully mine is a service based industry so, less of fixed cost. But yes, considering the cost spend on marketing and training, I have already break-evened. If yes, as my number of clients and volume growth, I am expecting my margins to increase. But I have a lot of new plans in place, which will further require investments. So hoping for the best.

7. What comes first for you money or emotions?
I believe in Emotions a lot. An emotionally intelligent person can always earn money through his perseverance and intelligence.

8. What are your strengths and weaknesses?
Strength is my passion. Whatever I do, learn or create, I do it with a lot of passion, enthusiasm, and hardworking. For me, nothing is small or big. Any work which excites me, I will give my best. Then I don’t even think about the money.

And giving too much of my energy to a client is sometimes I think as my weakness. I have to put a break to the time and energy I put in some work.

9. Tell me about an accomplishment you are most proud of.
When I cater to housewives and help them rebuild their Self-image and confidence, that is the moment I am really proud of. When a person regains their identity, purpose and self-confidence, to live, to go out there and conquer the world, that satisfaction is indescribable.

10. How do you handle the pressure?
Pressure and stress do steps in. Dance is my way out of it.

11. If you sold your company today, what would be the tone of the conversation? What would you want to gain? What would you want to avoid losing?
I will not want to sell off my business.

12. What advice would you give to someone starting out?
Believe in what you are giving to the world. If you do not believe in the value addition from your product or service, no will buy into it. Also, it’s not the product you are selling, it’s you whom you are selling. So be good at selling yourself.

13. What are your future plans and if you would mentor someone?
I want to spread the concept of Image management and personal branding. For that, I am working with and also in talks with colleges, institutes and Companies to make their people aware of its importance.

I would love to mentor someone who carries the same passion and eagerness to discover something new each day.
