We just wanted kids to play. Sportathon works with schools to implement best-in-class Physical Education & Sports programmes through holistic & science backed physical activities for kids.

Sportathon was founded by 3 sports enthusiast Rajnikant, Vijay and Tarun in 2013 with a vision to ‘Make Sports an Integral Part of every Child’s life’.

Sportathon believes the sustainable, and scalable way to address the issue of kid’s sports & physical education is through the in-school sports program.

Sportathon has a strong presence across 25 +cities. The company has 80+ partner schools and has engaged with over 60,000+ children during their in-school sports/physical education period.

1.What gets you out of bed in the morning i.e what’s your source of motivation?
60000+ kids are playing sports across india with us everyday, to give them something better everyday that motivates me.

2. Why should people choose your product/services?
Our product is the need of hour. our solution, our commitment, our service and our on going innovations add great values to our clients. we create a win-win situations for both.

3. What’s your competitive advantage and why can’t it be copied?
Our thought process is different here, we want more players come to the market. we believe in alliance and solutions,The depth knowledge, experience and passion will always keep you stand different out of crowd.

4. What risks are you facing?
Govt. compliances imposing GST in sports education which was earlier exempted, Is the biggest challenge we are facing.

5. Have you considered any alliance/partnership?
Yes we are always open for it, Business itself about networking and relationship.

6. What are your cash flow projections? When will you break even? How much will you need in investments?
Allready chased the break even in 2nd year of our operation. Cash flow is all about your financial planing and we have planned well for that.We are open for investment but inverstors must bring the values and common mindset not only fund, else we are happy with bootstrap.

7. What comes first for you money or emotions?
Offcourse Emotions, Emotions pays you well.

8. What are your strengths and weaknesses?
My Emotions – strengths as well as weakness.

9. Tell me about an accomplishment you are most proud of.
Recently we crossed a team size of 100. Faith and their believe system on organisation is the biggest achievement.

10. How do you handle pressure?
Sports itself a great medium for that.

11. If you sold your company today, what would be the tone of the conversation? What would you want to gain? What would you want to avoid losing?
We almost burned our 7 years to build what SPORTATHON is today, No point of selling, let’s the baby grow.

12. What advice would you give to someone starting out?
Just start- every thing will be on place.
