1. How did you get started with Neera Naturals? What motivated you to launch the business?
Neera Naturals is a mother-daughter collaboration founded on our shared love of handmade bathing essentials. My mother’s passion for natural products and soapmaking was a huge inspiration for us to take the leap and start this venture.
2. What is the vision for your brand? What do you hope to achieve with your company? What are your goals for the future?
Our vision is to redefine luxury bath experiences by blending beauty with natural ingredients. We want to establish Neera Naturals as the premier handmade luxury bath brand in India, and continue to set new standards for quality and innovation within the industry.
3.What is your competitive advantage? What makes your brand unique? What sets you apart from other brands?
What truly sets Neera Naturals apart is our unwavering commitment to traditional soap-making methods. We meticulously use the 45-day cold-process technique, resulting in soaps that are not only luxurious but also retain their natural glycerin content for a truly nourishing experience. This dedication to quality, combined with our handcrafted, all-natural product range, is what earned us national recognition. In October 2022, we were awarded under the HER Start platform, highlighting our commitment to excellence and innovation in luxury bathing.

Neera Naturals operates on a direct-to-consumer model, offering handcrafted bathing essentials made using traditional methods and natural ingredients. This commitment to quality, evident in our 45-day cold-process technique, ensures superior products that nourish the skin. We are a nationally recognized brand, setting ourselves apart through a dedication to sustainable practices and a focus on luxury, quality, and innovation in every product.
5. What are the biggest challenges you face as a startup? What are the obstacles that you need to overcome in order to be successful?
As a startup, our biggest challenges involve balancing competitive pricing with maintaining the high quality and unique value of our handmade products. We’re also committed to breaking through societal barriers that persist for female entrepreneurs in this traditionally male-dominated industry. Building brand trust and achieving market acceptance are ongoing goals, and we’re dedicated to overcoming them through perseverance and innovation in our products and approach.

Our vision for the future is to solidify Neera Naturals as a leading brand in the luxury handmade bath essentials sector within the next five years. Strengths: Neera Naturals is built on two key strengths: our commitment to artisanal, small-batch production overseen by my mother, a soap-making expert, and our dedication to using only the highest quality, all-natural ingredients. This unique approach ensures that every product is not only luxurious but also gentle and effective on the skin.
Weaknesses: One of our biggest challenges is educating consumers about the benefits of natural, handmade soaps. Unlike commercially produced soaps, our products may not have the same level of lather or shelf life, but they offer a more nourishing and gentle cleansing experience. Effectively conveying this message and dispelling misconceptions around natural ingredients requires creative and targeted marketing strategies.
12. How has winning a national award impacted Neera Naturals?
Winning a national award was a tremendous honor for Neera Naturals. While the recognition itself is incredibly rewarding, we understand that translating that into long-term growth requires a strategic approach.
