In that frame, I had the pleasure to interview Manoj Kumar S, founder of Accolades. Accolades is an aggregative open-source platform built-in with an inspiration to groom skilled developers and help them get into the right organization.
A unique platform built to identify your strengths and weakness and to create a unique career path for developers. Developers contribute to our open-source platform and using our platform they can identify their strength and weaknesses, build their own skill card, master the skills which they lack, and become ready to be hired according to their skillset and start their career path.
1. When and how did you start?
Started in February 2019, our virtual office in Bangalore is a small team of 6 brilliant minds. We work remotely, and we are committed to delivering on time with quality.
2. How did you come up with the idea?
I worked as a developer in various organization, and I realized either hiring skilled developers or skilled developers finding their right destination is the most difficult task. Hence the idea of one-stop solution ‘Accolades” for developers and recruiters was born.
3. What is the product and why a customer should choose your product?
A unique platform built to identify the strengths and weakness of the developers and to create a unique career path for them. Developers who come into our product can identify their strength and weaknesses, contribute their work into our open source, build their own skill card, master the skills which they lack, and finally find a proper destination to start their career path. Recruiters can choose from our developer database and simply their hiring process.
You should choose our product in order to walk towards a successful career, to enhance your skillset, save hiring time, and procure the skilled people as per your requirement.
4. Which type of services do you provide to customers and how do you provide the services?
For Developers, we provide the best skill card and rating to upskill themselves and rank themselves globally. We provide a unique path for their career based on the skillset they develop.
5. Describe innovation, design, patent, and copyright if any?
We identify the best developers in a course of time, Every code he/she writes is converted to a valuable outcome now. We track the complete history of the work done by them in order to make them experts. We do a comparative analysis with developers around the globe to provide the best resource.
6. What is your USP?
We measure a developers skill based on his/her aggregative work and not by a simple test. Matching Developers to the right company is always a difficult task and we make it simple by our logic & algorithm.
7. Who are the intended audience/target customers to sell your product and why?
IT Developers and Recruitment/HR. We target these customers as we believe we are the best and can exactly cater to their needs.
8. Who is your competitor and how do you face competition?
Any Evaluating company is our competitor. We are well equipped to encounter any sort of competition as we have developed a unique and robust product with a lot of expertise.
9. What is your future plan?
We plan to create a developer community in the Indian market as well as expand it throughout Asia with our brilliant ideas of growth and funding. Continuous upskilling and recruiting are our major growth goals. We plan to provide a quality product and increase our developer profiles. We have kicked off digital marketing to increase our business.
10. How does your company grow and how do you get success?
We are a small team with huge dreams. We believe in continuously working, managing the time effectively, and identifying the customer pulse to win the market. We are working towards attaining our first milestone by providing the best developers to the recruiters and the best skillset to our developers. Once this milestone is achieved, it is a path with no turning back at all.
