1. “What gets you out of bed in the morning?”
The purpose. Of the day, the team, and GitAll.

2. Why should people choose your product/service?
GitAll is making software development easier. If the idea of a centralized platform of knowledge resonates with someone, they’ll choose our product themselves.

3.
What inspired you to start “GitAll” company?”
While interning for a CV role in my final year, I faced a severe lack of good resources on OpenCV and RaspberryPi despite them being one of the most crucial technologies out there. Soon, I realized, it was true with almost every tech stack and that inspired us to create GitAll.

4.
“How much capital do you have and when do we expect cash flow break even?”
We are bootstrapped at the moment. We constantly freelance to keep us running and have enough to sustain ourselves a year. We’re minimizing our costs and paying only for the most crucial amenities.
Being a consumer-facing, user-generated content platform, we don’t expect a cash flow breakeven anytime soon. Once we reach a point where we have enough traction and need funds to sustain our growth, we’ll reach out to external individuals and organizations for funds.

5. Who are the biggest competitors and how are they doing? If there are no competitors, why?
In India per se, we don’t have any direct competitors. There’s Dev.to that’s based out of New York, and they’re doing pretty good.
We have some indirect competitor in Medium.com and the communities around it. We’re trying to get them on board as partners and we’re very positive about working with them in the future.
Unacademy is one good platform but their domain focus is different than ours. Udacity/CourseEra/EdX again are indirect and have a different focussed market than ours.
The market for online ed-tech platforms is huge, scattered and we happen to be the only ones at the forefront of it.

6. What comes first for you money or emotions?
Emotions.
If you can incite emotions, money will flow one way or the other and it’d be limitless.

7. “Where do you see yourself in 5 years?”
At the forefront of revolutionizing the Indian Tech Education industry.
We wish for students from Tier2 and Tier3 cities of India to have technical knowledge at par with the ones in Tier 1 cities and colleges of India. With them being part of the digital revolution, a lot of problems that India faces today, get a means to get solved.

8. If you had the opportunity to start this business again what would you do differently?
We’ve just started and we keep this in mind before deciding on something big. We’ve got one chance and enough lessons to not make careless mistakes.

9. If you sold your company today, what would be the tone of the conversation? What would you want to gain? What would you want to avoid losing?
Above anything, the purpose and state of the community we’d have mattered to us the most.
Losing the momentum we’d had generated in realizing our goal is something I’d hate to lose.

10. What advice would you give to someone starting out?
Be logical when you follow the “do it now” advice. The market’s been saturated and far too many people are in the “me too” race now.
You need to be rational with your idea–it’s validity & viability, your team and your capability of execution.
One all these are checked, go for it. Do not waste time doubting yourself with the fear of uncertainty.
