Interview with Neelima Thakur | Shine Herbals

In that frame, I had the pleasure to interview Neelima Thakur, founder of Shine Herbals. Shine Herbals provides the best solutions for hair problems.

Neelima Thakur is a 54-year-old mompreneur, mother of three children, a trainer of English communication & Personality Development. Neelima is on a mission to support physically disabled women and widows, in particular, to gain decent income through Shine Herbals.

1. What gets you out of bed in the morning i.e what’s your source of motivation?
To see happy faces who had lots of worries for hair health before using Shine Herbals Hair oils. I want to give a natural solution for all hair related issues including hairless patches.

2. Why should people choose your product/services?
My products are Eco Friendly, Effective & Economical. I assure you the results within 3 months. As the products are naturally made there is no risk of side effects including kids.

3. What’s your competitive advantage and why can’t it be copied?
I blend Natural oils and herbal extracts uniquely and give guaranteed results. I have seen good hair regrowth on chemotherapy patients, alopecia, psoriasis, and hereditary thinning and baldness issues.

4. What risks are you facing?
Shipping abroad (Shipping Charges are high, availability of good bottles (rates are high like per bottle 20-25 INR), almond oil availability (for particular areas the only limited number of bottles supplied), marketing globally, financial assistance on low rates.

5. Have you considered any alliance/partnership?
Not so far. I don’t want to go for a partnership. The alliance is okay for business expansion. Looking for expansion opportunities.

6. What are your cash flow projections? When will you break even? How much will you need in investments?
Presently we are profitable. We would love to raise funds. Since our product is organic we have got a lot of demand in foreign countries. We are looking for seed funding of 5 Lakhs for expansion.

7. What comes first for you money or emotions?
Definitely, as entrepreneur money comes first but as it’s close to my heart concept emotions get priority apart from business dealings.

8. What are your strengths and weaknesses?
My Strengths are:
I can work relentlessly on my research for new products. I never give up come what may once have taken a decision.

My Weaknesses are:
For my business, I can’t even imagine a break.
I tend to forget myself completely.

9. Tell me about an accomplishment you are most proud of.
I have around 4500+ clientele globally. 99 % of customers are happy with the results and have shared satisfactory testimonials. My hair oils are unique and have given regrowth on hairless areas including 60+ aged customers. Hereditary baldness complaint customers have also seen improvements.

10. How do you handle the pressure?
I mostly spend my time blogging when am under pressure.

11. If you sold your company today, what would be the tone of the conversation? What would you want to gain? What would you want to avoid losing?
I won’t sell my company ever.

12. What advice would you give to someone starting out?
Never give up and never underestimate your potential for others. Keep striving until you reach your targets.
